Graduate Student Clubs

The Graduate Students’ Association is preparing to open club registration for the upcoming academic year. To register your club, you will need to prepare a few things: 

1. Choose your club name 

2. Prepare a 1-3 sentence statement about what your club intends to do, and possible events you plan to host. 

3. Build your (minimum) 3 person executive team. These people will have signing authority to request reimbursement from the GSA for club expenses. You will need their name, student number, email, phone number and signature. Executives need to be current UBC Okanagan graduate students.

4. Create a club email that clearly reflects your club’s name. 

5. Find interested members. Gather at least 8 current graduate students  who are interested in joining your club. You will need their names, student numbers, and emails. Note: Your executives do not count towards this 8 member requirement.

6. Apply when our applications open. We are currently working on the forms, handbook, and registration process. Once finalized, registration will open. 

We aim for registration to open in early September. Notice for when registration is open will be shared through our Instagram (@gsa.ubco), website (https://gsa-ubco.ca/), and email.
