SUMMARY:Weekly GSA Peer Support
DESCRIPTION:We acknowledge that grad students find themselves in a transiti
 onal period as we continue to establish our new Graduate Student Associatio
 n. We are continuously working to solidify partnerships around food securit
 y\, advocacy\, health\, and many other issues. In the meantime\, we want ev
 ery grad student to feel supported. \nWe therefore decided to set up a pee
 r-to-peer mutual aid support for grad students during this ongoing transiti
 onal period. \nOur Director of Outreach & Advocacy\, Lola\, will be availa
 ble weekly via zoom (and email) to chat about your needs\, connect you to (
 free) resources at UBC and in the Okanagan community\, support you with fil
 ing applications (e.g. for Central Okanagan Food Bank)\, or simply talk thr
 ough stuff peer-to-peer. \nThis is not a professional service\, but a peer
  support network. What we can offer is genuine care\, a willingness to figu
 re things out together\, and a commitment to advocating on your behalf as a
  grad student. We will not have all the answers (and solutions)\, but we mi
